Schools in AOS 93 will cancel all after school activities and evening adult education classes on Monday due to elements of Hurricane Sandy, according to the AOS 93 website at aos93.org.
The wide-ranging elements of Hurricane Sandy are forecast to bring dangerously high winds Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service, which has also issued a High Wind Warning for the area..
AOS 93 schools include Bristol Consolidated School, Great Salt Bay Community School, Jefferson Village School, Nobleboro Central School, and South Bristol Elementary School.
The Lincoln County News website will continue to follow the progress of this event, with constant coverage beginning Monday, extending into the night-time hours, and continuing on Tuesday.
