Lincoln County law enforcement is currently on the scene of an armed standoff on Upper East Pond Road in Nobleboro.
According to Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett, the incident began with a loud noise complaint at a private residence at 1:53 a.m. One or more individuals may still be inside the residence, Brackett said.
“It developed into a situation with a couple subjects who may or may not be armed and we are just waiting here and hoping they will come out and talk with us,” Brackett said.
Brackett said the State Police tactical team is on scene.
Brackett declined to identify the residence citing the ongoing nature of the situation. The Lincoln County News will continue following this developing story and will post more details here as they become available.
