The Waldoboro woman indicted on the charge of intentional or knowing murder of her former boyfriend, Norman Benner, will be arraigned in Lincoln County Superior Court at 8:30 a.m. On Thurs., Sept. 27.
Arline Lawless, also known as Arline Seavey, told Maine State Police detectives she shot Benner in his sleep, July 21, after he told her he planned to leave her.
The state has requested a forensic evaluation to determine Lawless’ mental condition.
Also scheduled to appear at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 27, is Mary Helen Ginnaty and Erin C. Ginnaty, following an incident at their Bremen home June 21.
According to court documents, Mary Helen Ginnaty is accused of domestic violence assault against her sister Erin Ginnaty. She is also charged with assault on an officer and terrorizing after police said she allegedly caused bodily injury to Lincoln County Dep. Brian Collamore while he was performing his duties.
Court documents state that she threatened Collamore with murder. She is also accused of using force or intimidation to prevent Erin Ginnaty from reporting her crime.
Erin Ginnaty is charged with assault after she allegedly attacked two emergency medical care providers following the June 21 incident.
William M. Harrison, 40, of Charleston, Mass., will be arraigned Oct. 2 at 10:30 a.m. on a charge of Class B aggravated assault, after he allegedly attacked former Maine State Trooper Gregory Vrooman, April 12, as a verdict was about to be delivered in a case of unlawful sexual contact with a young girl.
Vrooman, 46, of Nobleboro, was later found guilty of four counts of felony unlawful sexual contact with a minor, four counts of misdemeanor unlawful sexual touching with a minor, and four counts of misdemeanor assault. He was acquitted of one count of tampering with a witness and was sentenced, June 25, to five years in prison with all but 21 months of his sentence suspended. He must also serve probation for four years, following incarceration.
