Melissa Sue Tilas, of Wiscasset, and Sumner Ames Averill, of Alna, were married Sept. 6, at the Damariscotta Lake Farm in Jefferson.
A reception followed on location with family and friends traveling from all over the country.
The bride is the daughter of Nicholas and Lucinda Tilas of Wiscasset.
The groom is the son of Wayne and Peggy Averill of Alna.
The bride’s attendees were sisters Kate Tilas and Nichole Minor, sister in law Audrey Blagdon, best friends Marissa Hammond and Kendra Kalis.
The groom’s attendees were brothers in law Josh Blagdon and Chris Tilas, best friends Mich DeCosta and Jason Dennison, and cousin Ryan Cromwell.
The bride graduated from Capilo Institute in Augusta, for hair and cosmetology and is currently employed at Possibility Salon.
The groom continues applying his business abilities in his employment at Ames True Value.
The couple will reside in their new home in Alna.
