Current Third Selectman Doug Baston was voted into the second selectman seat on Election Day in Alna Friday, March 22.
Baston took home 180 votes, and his competitor, Les Fossel, took 58.
Baston is a 35-year Alna resident and finished his second two-year term as third selectman this year.
He has 25 years of experience on the Alna Planning Board, with most of his time spent as the board’s chair.
Ed Pentaleri, the current second selectman, did not run for re-election.
In the two uncontested races, Greg Shute won with 208 votes for third selectman, and incumbent Road Commissioner Jeffrey Verney won with 214.
The Alna annual town meeting starts at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 23 at the Alna Fire Station.
