According to MSAD/RSU 40 Supt. Frank Boynton, a written bomb threat was found in a restroom at Medomak Valley High School this morning, April 7.
Within minutes of discovery, the students involved confessed to writing the threat, and there was no evidence of the presence of any type of bomb.
According to a release from the office of the superintendent, staff and students were never at risk given the circumstances of the threat. After consultation with local authorities, the building was not evacuated.
Charges are pending against three juveniles involved. The Waldoboro Police Dept. is continuing to investigate the bomb threat.
