A boom truck rolled over onto its side after the ground gave way beneath it on CCIA Road in South Bristol Thursday, Nov. 20.
The JP Marine truck’s owner-operator Jeff Poole, 58, of South Bristol, was using the boom on the 1996 Chevrolet Kodiak truck to lift a floating dock out of the water when the ground just gave way, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Ken Hatch.
There were no injuries, according to Hatch, though there is substantial damage to the side of the truck and a nearby dock.
Blagden’s Wrecker Service and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. It took about 45 minutes to right the truck.
