A Southport man with a history of philanthropy in the Boothbay region has purchased the Boothbay Country Club.
Paul Coulombe, the former CEO of White Rock Distillery in Lewiston, is the new owner of the Boothbay Country Club, according to a statement from the Knickerbocker Group of Boothbay, which is representing Coulombe in the matter.
Coulombe was motivated to purchase the historic club after its future was made uncertain following a foreclosure and subsequent auction where no bids were received, according to the statement.
The Lincoln County News is compiling a detailed report on the purchase of the Boothbay Country Club that will be featured in the print and e-editions on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
