Lincoln County Sheriffs Deputies arrested 20-year-old Thomas C. Nolet of Gloucester, Mass. on Jan. 25 and charged him with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol.
The arrest was a result of the ongoing investigation into a fatal motor vehicle incident that occurred in Jefferson on Sept. 20, 2008, according to the Lincoln County Sheriffs Office (LCSO).
In that incident 20-year-old Loren St. Cyr was struck by two vehicles as he walked on the North Clary Road in the Town of Jefferson. One of the vehicles involved has not been located, and its operator is unknown.
The investigation into this incident continues and the possibility of more alcohol related criminal charges is currently being investigated, according to the LCSO.
The LCSO also anticipates that a report detailing alleged administrative liquor license violations will be filed.
Acccording to the LCSO, Nolet formerly lived in the Lincoln County town of Jefferson at the time of the incident. He was processed at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset and released on bail the same night of his arrest.
Nolet is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 25, at 8:30 a.m. in Lincoln County District Court in Wiscasset.
If convicted, Nolet could serve up to one year in jail in addition to any fines, according to the LCSO.
