Police evacuated all students and staff at Medomak Valley High School after a bomb threat was called in to the school at around 11:30 a.m. today.
“Everything is going extremely well,” Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde said at around 1:30 p.m. “Everyone is doing their job.”
Responding to the scene shortly after the call were Waldoboro EMS, Fire and Police. A State Police Bomb Squad arrived with bomb-sniffing dogs as RSU (MSAD) 40 Supt. Frank Boynton and school principal Harold Wilson stood by on school grounds.
Chief Labombarde said he expected to clear the scene within the next couple of hours. Further details of the high school event will follow as more details become available.
