All Lincoln County households should have power restored by Tues. night, according to Gail Rice, a spokesperson for the Central Maine Power Co. (CMP).
Rice made the promise during a phone call with a reporter from The Lincoln County News on Tues. morning, adding that “we have pushed additional resources in to Lincoln County” to accomplish the goal. Some residents have been without power for 5 days. Others had their power restored after a major wind storm hit the area Thurs. night, only to lose power again after another storm on Mon.
Lincoln County had 86 households without electrical power as of mid-day Tues., according to the CMP.
A total of 16,977 Lincoln County households were without power immediately following the wind storm Thurs. night, according to the CMP. That number went down to 1508 by Sun., and then the second storm on Mon. caused 1973 new outages in the area, for a total of 3461 by mid-day on Mon., according to the CMP.
Crews from CMP and around the country worked through the night on Mon., restoring power to over 3300 Lincoln County households and clearing the way to restore all power by Tues. night.
