Two days after the high winds generated by Hurricane Sandy blasted through Lincoln County, every town in Lincoln County still has power outages, according to Central Maine Power (CMP).
Crews from CMP continue to repair power lines damaged by Hurricane Sandy in an effort to restore power to the 1,841 Lincoln County households still suffering from power outages.
Every Lincoln County town has outages, according to the CMP. At present Bremen is particularly hard hit, where over 455 households are without power.
“We will be funneling crews into Cumberland, Lincoln, and York Counties as we complete the work in other areas,” said Tom DePeter, director of Electric Distribution for CMP. “We have multiple crews assigned to every circuit in every town, and we have 17 fresh crews from our neighbors to the north, Bangor Hydro Electric and Maine Public Service, coming to help us close this out.”
The Lincoln County News website will continue to follow the progress of this event, and any additional information will be posted here as soon as it becomes available.
