Escaped felon Wayne Collamore was arrested around 2 p.m. today at the Owl’s Head Light State Park in Owl’s Head. Deputy U.S. Marshals arrested Collamore without incident after he was spotted in a car that was reported stolen from Round Pond earlier today.
Collamore was sleeping at the wheel when law enforcement officers approached the vehicle and affected the arrest.
Collamore was serving the remainder of a prison sentence for Felon in Possession of a Firearm when he walked away from halfway house in Portland May 28. He had been the subject of a large scale manhunt involving federal, state and local agencies after he was last seen in Nobleboro June 3.
