A two-vehicle head-on, and multiple-injury collision occurred on Rt. 235 in Waldoboro, reportedly one mile east of Manktown Road at approximately 3:30 p.m., Thursday, completely shutting down the route to traffic.
Waldoboro police and fire, along with Waldoboro and CLC Ambulance responded to the scene.
Life Flight was called to rendezvous with the ambulances at the Waldoboro Fire House where a landing zone was established.
According to The Lincoln County News reporter Sherwood Olin at the scene, Life Flight landed at approximately 4:25 p.m. and at 5:25 p.m. took off destined for Miles Hospital.
At 5:35 p.m., Miles had established a landing zone to receive Life Flight.
