Units from Newcastle and Damariscotta Fire Departments are on the scene of a structure fire on Pond Rd. off Rt. 215 in Newcastle.
At this time the roadway remains closed to traffic.
Smoke was immediately visible emanating from the second floor of the house when the fire was reported shortly after 1 p.m. There is currently no word on injuries.
