The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Whitefield woman.
Britney Binns, 19, of the Townhouse Road in Whitefield, was reported missing by her family on Thurs., Oct. 8.
Binns was last seen Oct. 7, at approximately 10 p.m. when she went to bed.
Thursday morning the family awoke to find Britney missing along with a few of her belongings and her bicycle. She left a note simply stating she was “running away” and did not give any reasons for her leaving.
The family states Binns gave no indications she was planning anything. At this point there does not appear to be any indications of foul play. However, the family is very concerned for Binns’ safety and well-being.
Britney is described as a 19-year-old, white female, 6′ tall, 135 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She is believed to be riding her black Black River Canyon FS Elite mountain bike. She is possibly wearing brown Sketcher shoes, blue jeans and a blue and white windbreaker.
