A two-car collision on Rt. 1 in Waldoboro has temporarily affected northbound and southbound traffic.
According to an LCN reporter on the scene, the collision deployed air bags in both vehicles and left both vehicles with significant front-end damage.
Ambulances have transported passengers from the scene. As of this posting there is no word on specific injuries.
Waldoboro police and fire department units are currently on the scene. While cleanup efforts are ongoing, northbound traffic is being diverted down Old Rt. 1 through Waldoboro Village.
Southbound traffic is proceeding slowly, with a minor detour through the business parking lot Ralph Home’s on Rt. 1.
