A joint investigation by state and local agencies has resulted in the arrest of a Wiscasset man and the seizure of more than $60,000 worth of marijuana.
According to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Stanley Connors, 47, of 459 Lowelltown Rd. was arrested after a search warrant was executed on his residence Aug. 17.
The warrant was the result of a joint investigation conducted by the LCSO, Wiscasset Police, MDEA and the Maine State Warden Service.
Originally focused on marijuana cultivation, the investigation resulted in the discovery of a theft of a camera belonging to the LCSO. This camera, a Pv-700 Sensor iCam, was valued at over $10,000.
In addition to the camera, police recovered dried marijuana, drug paraphernalia and 35 mature marijuana plants from Connors’ residence, which is owned by his mother. The marijuana has an estimated street value of over $60,000.
Connors was charged with Cultivating Marijuana class D and Theft by unauthorized taking or transfer class B. A second man, Casey Leavitt, 18, was charged with Cultivating Marijuana class D.
