A Bremen man was sentenced to five months in jail earlier this month for grabbing a woman’s breast and attempting to grab her buttocks in September 2014.
Donald Prior, 41, entered a no contest plea in Wiscasset District Court Jan. 8 to a class D misdemeanor charge of unlawful sexual touching.
According to the woman’s statement, while at her home in South Bristol, Prior had asked her to plug in his cellphone and, after she did so, he attempted to grab her buttocks and then grabbed her right breast.
The woman’s husband witnessed the events, and both asked Prior to leave, which he did, she wrote.
It was the first time the woman had met Prior, she wrote.
Prior was sentenced to five months in jail, to be served concurrently with a five-month partial probation revocation stemming from a January 2014 conviction for class C unlawful possession of oxycodone, a felony.
According to a motion for probation revocation by Anthony Prest, a field officer for the Maine Department of Corrections’ Division of Community Corrections, Prior allegedly violated the terms of his probation by committing the unlawful sexual touching, drinking alcohol, failing to report to probation, failing to submit to search and testing for drugs and alcohol in November 2014, and failing to enter and complete substance abuse counseling.
Prior already had a partial revocation of his probation last February 2014, for 30 days, for allegedly drinking alcohol, failing to notify probation prior to changing his address, and failing to notify his probation officer of police contact within 24 hours.
David Paris, Prior’s attorney, had no comment on the outcome of the case.
