A two-vehicle accident briefly closed the Lower Round Pond Road in Bristol just after 8 a.m., Monday, Sept. 15.
Samuel Margaritis, 19, of Newcastle, was driving a maroon Chevrolet SUV on Lower Round Pond Road toward Route 32 when he lost control of the vehicle.
According to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Matthew Day, Roger Brown, 60, was driving a Masters Machine Company box truck on Lower Round Pond Road toward Route 130. Brown noticed the out-of-control vehicle and stopped his vehicle. The SUV rolled over and eventually landed upright and struck the box truck.
Margaritis was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Day said.
According to Day, speed and glare from the sun were factors in the accident.
The Bristol Fire Department and the Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
