The Town of Bristol is considering a proposal to add a footbridge to Ellingwood Park.
The 48-ft. structure would span Pemaquid River, providing a walkway from the mainland to Gary’s Island, according to the proposal by Bristol resident and engineer Russ Guibord.
The Bristol Parks Commission will review the proposal, Bristol Town Administrator Kristine Poland said.
Bristol acquired the Ellingwood property in July 2010.
In other Bristol news, the Bristol Board of Selectmen appointed Don Means and Poland as the town’s representatives to the Midcoast Economic Development District general assembly.
