The Bristol Board of Selectmen, at its Nov. 20 meeting, voted to use road funds to buy a $412 distance-measuring device for the town truck.
The device measures distances by the foot, Selectman Bill Benner said. “It’s a great rig,” he said.
Benner said the town could use the device to re-measure the mileage of Bristol roads before executing its next snowplowing contract. “Even though we have that information from the state, I’ve found there’s a difference,” he said.
