The Bristol Board of Selectmen plans to meet with two candidates for the position of town administrator next week before making a final determination.
Town Administrator Kris Poland told the board in September she would step down when her contract expires Dec. 31. Poland started in the town office in May 2001 and became town administrator July 1, 2002.
The selectmen contracted with the Maine Municipal Association to search for the new town administrator. The town received 28 resumes for the position, according to the minutes of the selectmen’s Nov. 16 meeting.
After conducting interviews with a number of candidates, the selectmen narrowed the field to two finalists. The board plans to meet with the candidates separately after Christmas before making a decision, Hanna said.
