A large majority of Bristol voters (54-9) passed an April 12 validation vote for the town’s education budget.
The sole ballot question asked voters. “Do you favor approving the Bristol education budget for the upcoming school year that was adopted at the latest Bristol budget meeting and that includes locally raised funds that exceed the required local contribution as described in the Essential Programs and Services Funding Act?”
Bristol’s 2011-12 education budget totals about $4.18 million.
