David Poland, of Damariscotta, is the new manager of the Bristol/South Bristol Transfer Station.
“I think he’ll do a good job for us,” Chester Rice, the chairman of the Bristol/South Bristol Transfer Station Board of Directors, said.
The former station manager, Shawn Dinsmore, resigned Dec. 28. The directors had suspended Dinsmore and another employee without pay Dec. 12 after an internal investigation into an allegation of marijuana possession by the other employee.
According to a statement from the board, “During the investigation, additional problems were found, such as lack of maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds due to lack of supervision.”
