The portion of Route 213, or Bunker Hill Road between Route 215 in Newcastle and Route 126 in Jefferson will be closed to through traffic from Monday, Aug 4, to Wednesday, Aug. 6, according to Maine Department of Transportation spokesperson Ted Talbot.
The closure will allow road crews to replace a culvert at the Newcastle end of Bunker Hill Road, Talbot said.
“Of course local access for residents will be allowed,” Talbot said.
According to Talbot, the road will remain closed overnight so that road equipment can be kept on-site and the culvert replacement completed more quickly.
A detour route will be clearly posted, Talbot said.
