A burglar or burglars broke into Mike’s Place, in Newcastle, the night of Oct. 14-15 and stole cigarettes and “a few thousand” dollars in cash.
The burglar or burglars hit the Rt. 1 convenience store between 5-6 p.m. Oct. 14 and 4:30 a.m. Oct. 15, when someone arrived to open the store, Lt. Michael Murphy of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said.
LCSO asks anyone who was in the area during those hours or anyone else with information about the crime to call Detective Ronald Rollins at 207-882-8332.
