A 2005 Saab being driven by Mark Fleischer, of Massachusetts, was struck by a southbound Pontiac Grand Am driven by a Waldoboro juvenile in Damariscotta this afternoon, according to Damariscotta Police Officer Aaron Beck.
Beck said the juvenile driver was southbound on U.S. rt. 1 and stopped at the intersection of Rt. 1 and Business Rt. 1. The juvenile saw only one vehicle headed northbound. After that vehicle passed, the juvenile attempted to cross the northbound lane and drove into the driver’s side of Fleischer’s vehicle, Beck said.
The accident occurred around 3:50 p.m. No one was injured, said Beck.
