A vehicle reported stolen from South Bristol on Thursday, July 13 was recovered in Woburn, Mass. the next day.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Brendan Kane.
The vehicle, a 2007 Saturn Ion, was discovered missing Thursday morning from Thompson Inn Road in South Bristol, Kane said. Officers with the Woburn Police Department recovered the vehicle Friday, more than 150 miles away.
The vehicle is now on its way back to Maine, Kane said.
Kane said the theft was an isolated incident. “It’s an unusual event. This isn’t a symptom of a larger problem,” he said.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore is the investigating officer. The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information about the incident to contact either Collamore or Kane at 882-6576.
