A Belfast restaurateur wants to build a Chinese restaurant in a vacant lot, formerly home to Maine Way Ice Cream, at 422 Main St. in Damariscotta.
Wai Lam, owner of Belfast’s China One for about five years, submitted a building permit and change of use application to the town March 26.
The application includes a brief description of a proposed 1200-square foot building for take-out with 16 seats for indoor dining.
The Damariscotta Planning Board is scheduled to review the application at its next meeting, Mon., May 7 at 7 p.m.
The town lists the owner of the property as TGVL Inc.
