The Central Lincoln County School System (AOS 93) will vote on 2010 proposed administrative budgets for the central office, local school boards and special education on Tues., Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m. in Great Salt Bay School in Damariscotta.
System Supt. Robert Bouchard said the meeting is like a town meeting called to approve the proposed budgets.
“State law requires the voters approve the administration budgets. The actual costs will be then apportioned to each local school district board,” he said.

The amount proposed for system administration of all seven local school boards, including legal and auditing expenses is $78,870. This is down 11.9 percent from this year.
The proposed central office administration budget is $431,314 down 9 percent from this year.
Total proposed administration budget is $631,579, a figure down $53,993 or 7.9 percent from this year, Bouchard said.
