Matthew Cushing, 22, is set to plead guilty for the Feb. 20 killing of his mother and stepfather, Carol and Christopher Bolduc, and his half brother, Joshua Bolduc, and then setting the family home in Old Orchard Beach on fire, defense attorney Joel Vincent said.
The Lincoln County News reported in the Feb. 25, 2008 issue that Cushing’s parents were Lincoln Academy graduates, and his father Paul Cushing resides in Bristol, and multiple family and cousins reside in Lincoln County.
Cushing has been awaiting trial on the murders, after pleading not guilty to three counts of murder and one of arson.
According to Vincent, Cushing has accepted responsibility for his actions, and is now ready to change his plea to guilty.
A hearing is scheduled for Wed., Feb. 25 on the matter in York County Superior Court.
