The town of Damariscotta has no candidates for two seats on the Damariscotta Board of Selectmen and one on the Great Salt Bay School Committee.
The terms of Selectmen Josh Pinkham and Vicki Pinkham and Great Salt Bay School Committee member Sally Farrell all expire this year. Josh Pinkham is the chairman of the Damariscotta Board of Selectmen; Farrell chairs the school committee.
Josh Pinkham, Vicki Pinkham, and Vicki Pinkham’s husband, Alan “Buzz” Pinkham, all took out nomination papers at the town office, but did not return signed papers by the April 28 deadline.
Vicki Pinkham said she has not decided whether she would continue on the board if elected as a write-in candidate. Buzz Pinkham and Josh Pinkham were not immediately available for comment.
Josh Pinkham has been on the board from February 2005 to June 2006, for a full term from 2007 to 2010, and from 2011 to present. He did not run for re-election in 2006 or 2010.
Vicki Pinkham has been in office since March 2006. She is the longest-serving member of the current board.
Elizabeth Printy took out nomination papers for the school committee, but did not return the papers. Printy is the finance chairwoman of the Lincoln County Republican Committee and the chairwoman of the Damariscotta Republican Committee.
Great Salt Bay Sanitary District Trustee John Gallagher was the only candidate for any office to file nomination papers.
