Nathan Herald, of Damariscotta, was apprehended by Sgt. Chad Andrews and Officer Aaron Beck at approximately 1:30 a.m., April 4, when a resident called that he was going through their vehicles.
At the time he was apprehended he had gone into the garage of this residence and was found hiding. After a brief struggle he was taken into custody. He was taken to Two Bridges Jail, where he was charged with Burglary, Burglary to Motor Vehicle (Multiple Counts), and Refusing to Submit to arrest or detention.
A bag of many different items was found at the scene containing materials that appear to have been stolen out of vehicles. If you discover any missing items from your vehicles, please contact the Damariscotta Police Dept. at 563-1909. Sgt. Chad Andrews is the investigating Officer.
