The Damariscotta Police Department is investigating a burglary at a 329 Main St. car wash the weekend of Feb. 1 and 2.
The burglar forced entry through a back door at Coastal Car Wash between the close of business at 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1 and 9 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 2, according to Patrol Officer Ryan Chubbuck.
The burglar did not take anything, but caused an estimated $1,000 in damage, Chubbuck said.
The police department has recovered evidence from the scene.
“We have a couple of possible suspects,” Chubbuck said.
The department asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the department at 563-1909 and ask for Chubbuck.
