The Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:
Jan. 27, Officer Jennifer Doe responded to a motor vehicle accident involving James H. Libby, 28, of South Bristol. Mr. Libby was traveling south on School St. when he lost control of his vehicle due to slippery roads. He crossed into the northbound lane and hit a guardrail, then crossed back into the southbound lane and came to rest on the side of the road. Approximately $3500 damage was done to Mr. Libby’s 1995 Plymouth van.
Jan. 29, Officer Richard Alexander responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. Paul G. Garber, 61, of Edgecomb was making a right hand turn into Poole Brothers when Jimmie W. Wade, 67, of Damariscotta rear-ended Mr. Garber. There was approximately $100 damage done to Mr. Garber’s 2006 Chevrolet and approximately $1500 to Mr. Wade’s 2001 Toyota.
Jan. 30, Officer Richard Alexander responded to a motor vehicle accident at Rite Aid Pharmacy involving Casandra M. Young, 18, of South Bristol. Ms. Young was legally parked in the Rite Aid parking lot when her vehicle was hit in the passenger side by an unknown vehicle. Approximately $1500 damage was done to Ms. Young’s 2006 Chevrolet.
Jan. 31, Alahdji S. Dean, 64, of Damariscotta received a summons to court for an unregistered motor vehicle over 150 days.
Feb. 3, Officer Jennifer Doe is investigating the theft of a truck tailgate from 102 Bristol Rd., which occurred on the night of Feb. 2. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Damariscotta Police Department at 563-1909.
