Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:
Dec. 29, 2009, Lawrence E. Taylor, 64, of Rockland was summonsed for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Dec. 29, 2009, Christopher L. Howell, 28, of Nobleboro was summonsed for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Dec. 30, 2009, Nichole M. Davis, 34 of Damariscotta was arrested for theft of lost or mislaid property and forgery.
Dec. 30, 2009, Alexa Oliver, 20 of Damariscotta was arrested for theft of lost or mislaid property and forgery.
Dec. 31, 2009, a juvenile received a summons to court for sale and use of drug paraphernalia.
Dec. 31, 2009, Gabriel V. Shadis, 38, of Damariscotta was arrested for violation of conditions of release.
Jan. 1, Wilson R. Collamore Jr., 33 of Damariscotta was summonsed to court for operating after suspension.
Jan. 1, Cody W. Poland, 19 of Damariscotta was summonsed for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Jan. 1, Timothy S. Bailey, 43 of Damariscotta was summonsed for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Jan. 1, Jade Robbins, 20 of Bristol was summonsed for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Jan. 1, Gunnar E. Gunderson, 30 of South Bristol was summonsed for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Jan. 1, Kevin F. Toner, 45 of Friendship was summonsed for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Dec. 31, 2009, Officer Aaron Beck responded to a motor vehicle accident on Main St. in front of Yellowfront. Pande Stevens, 79, of Damariscotta was traveling south when he lost control of his vehicle due to the road conditions and went off the road into the ditch. There was approximately $1200 damage to his 2001 Ford.
Jan. 1, Officer Richard Alexander responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Bristol Rd. Stephen E. Delano, 54, of Bristol was traveling north on Rt. 130 when he slid on icy roads causing his vehicle to go off the road and strike a sign, knocking it over. There was approximately $1400 damage to Delano’s 1999 Mazda.
Jan. 1, Officer Richard Alexander responded to a motor vehicle accident on U.S. Rt. 1 involving Jesse E. Feinberg, 31, of Brunswick. Feinberg was traveling south in his 2004 KIA when he struck the guardrail and went down over an embankment. There was approximately $1700 damage to his vehicle.
Jan. 2, Officer Richard Alexander responded to a two-vehicle accident on Main St. by the Damariscotta Veterinary Clinic. Melinda L. Doane-Jumbo, 45, of Nobleboro was traveling south on Main St. in her 2002 Subaru. She slowed down to make a right turn when Michael E. Tatro, 53, of Friendship rear-ended her vehicle in his 2007 Ford. There was approximately $2000 damage to Doane-Jumbo’s vehicle and approximately $1000 damage to Tatro’s vehicle.
Jan. 3, Officer Jennifer Mitkus responded to a motor vehicle accident on Hutchings Lane. Nancy J. Painton, 70, of Damariscotta was backing out of a driveway when she slid sideways into two metal poles. The vehicle ended up on a Water Company shutoff valve causing approximately $3000 damage to her 2000 Chevrolet.
Jan. 4, Officer Jennifer Mitkus took a complaint regarding a child custody issue.
Jan. 4, Officer Jennifer Mitkus took a complaint of a hit and run, which caused damage to a vehicle.
Jan. 4, Officer Jennifer Mitkus investigated a theft case, which involved civil issues. She was able to obtain the property and return it to the complainant.
Jan. 4, Officer Adam Lewis responded to a complaint of a juvenile out of control. He was able to diffuse the situation.
Damariscotta Police Dept. responded to 101 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, medical emergencies etc., for this week.
