The Damariscotta Police Dept. is participating in the Click It or Ticket enforcement. There will be increased patrols for operating under the influence and speeding along with seatbelt violations.
Damariscotta Police Department responded to 101 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activity:
July 1, Officer Aaron Beck took a complaint from a citizen of stolen drugs.
July 4, Officer Jennifer Mitkus responded to a residence in regards to a property dispute.
July 2, Jamie L. Oakes, 34 of Fairfield, was summonsed for speeding, 10-14 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
July 2, Nathaniel Sidelinger, 17 of Bristol was summonsed for speeding, 15-19 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
July 3, Robert C. Toothaker, 67 of Guilford, Conn. was summonsed to court for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.
July 5, Ryan S. McCurley, 31 of Jefferson was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay a fine and summonsed for operating after suspension.
July 2, Officer Adam Lewis responded to Lake Pemaquid Campground for a report of a motor vehicle accident.
July 2, Officer Richard Alexander responded to the Christian Science Reading Room for a two vehicle accident involving Faith Levesque, 46 of Fremont, N.H. and Larry Decker, 69 of Bluffton, S.C. Levesque was stopped in traffic in her 2005 Chevrolet. Mr. Decker backed up in his 2004 Jeep and struck Levesque. There was approximately $1000 damage to Levesque’s vehicle and approximately $2,000 damage to Decker’s vehicle.
