In the Aug. 25 edition of The Lincoln County News, James F. Hourihan, 27 of Damariscotta was listed as having been summonsed to court for two counts of Class D forgery. It should have said John Hourihan, 20 of Damariscotta was summonsed for two counts of class d forgery. The Damariscotta Police Department apologizes for the error.
The Damariscotta Police Department would like to remind citizens of the importance of reporting accidents immediately without leaving the scene. Reportable accidents are a $1000 combined damage between all vehicles involved.
Damariscotta Police are participating in the Click It or Ticket enforcement. There will be increased patrols for operating under the influence and speeding along with seatbelt violations.
Damariscotta Police Department responded to 96 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activity:
