Damariscotta Police Department responded to 94 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activity.
Arrest/Summonses
Sept. 29, Morgan L. MacDonald, 24 of South China was arrested for aggravated forgery, Class B.
Sept. 30, a juvenile was summonsed to court for criminal mischief.
Sept. 30, Andrew L. Poland, 22 of Round Pond was arrested for operating under the influence.
Sept. 30, Anthony J. McCullagh, 17 of Nobleboro was summonsed for a defective exhaust system.
Oct. 5, Nicholas Robbins, 19 of Damariscotta was arrested for violation of conditions of release.
Accidents
Sept. 29, Officer Richard Alexander responded to a two vehicle accident on Main Street involving Susan Ghoreyeb, 57 of Newcastle and Betty A. Fitzpatrick, 48 of Newcastle. Ghoreyeb was stopped on Main Street in her 1999 Subaru attempting to make a left turn into Round Top Farm. Fitzpatrick did not realize Ghoreyeb was stopped and struck her with her 2000 Datsun. There was approximately $1200 damage to Ms. Ghoreyeb’s vehicle and approximately $500 damage to Ms. Fitzpatrick’s vehicle.
Sept. 30, Officer Richard Alexander responded to a two vehicle accident on Main Street involving Paul Baptist, 44 of Bristol and Andrew L. Poland, 22 of Andrew L. Poland. Baptist was parked legally. Poland backed up and hit Baptist’s vehicle. There was approximately $1572 damage to Baptist’s 2008 Ford and approximately $500 damage to Poland’s 2008 ford.
