Damariscotta Police Department responded to 223 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this two week period of time and reports the following activity:
Dec. 28, 2010, Officer Jennifer Mitkus took a complaint from a local business that they had received a bad check.
Dec. 22, 2010, Officer Fait responded to a one-vehicle accident in front of Women of Substance. Stephen D. Bourque, 53 of Whitefield was traveling South on Main Street. He swerved to avoid a vehicle in front of him and struck a business sign. There was no damage to his 1999 Chevrolet.
Dec. 28, 2010, Officer Fait responded to a two-vehicle accident in front of Weatherbird on Main Street involving William M. Robb, 66 of Newcastle and Ashlee T. Hartford, 17 of Nobleboro. Robb stopped for a pedestrian and was rear-ended by Hartford. There was approximately $5000 damage to Robb’s 2010 Ford and approximately $2500 damage to Ms. Hartford’s 1999 Chevy.
Dec. 30, 2010, Officer Richard Alexander took a report of a stolen purse from a local citizen.
Dec. 30, 2010, Officer Adam Lewis responded to a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Mr. Mike’s (Puffin Stop) involving Nicholas M. Bryant, 20 of Bristol and Ryan J. Bremer, 21 of Damariscotta. Bryant had parked his 2005 Chevy. Bremer was pulling into the parking space next to Bryant. Bremer slid into the passenger side of Bryant’s vehicle causing approximately $1200 damage to Bryant’s vehicle and causing approximately $500 damage to his own 1996 Honda.
Jan. 3, Gregory S. Collins, 17 of Nobleboro was summonsed for speeding, 15-19 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
