Damariscotta Police Department responded to 98 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one-week period of time and reports the following activity:
Jan. 28, Officer Aaron Beck is investigating the theft of fuel oil from a local business.
Jan. 29, Officer Jared Mitkus responded to a car/deer accident on the Bristol Road. There was minimal damage to the vehicle.
Jan. 30, Officer Jennifer Mitkus assisted a resident with securing a handgun for safe keeping.
Jan. 30, Officer Jennifer Mitkus responded to Miles Memorial Hospital Emergency Room on a report of a possible problem with an incoming patient.
Jan. 31, Officer Jennifer Mitkus took a report of a threatening phone call from a local resident. The resident advised that they believe it was a telephone scam. The caller made threats to the resident when the resident advised the caller that they were not interested.
Jan. 31, Officer Jennifer Mitkus did a welfare check on an elderly resident.
Feb. 2, Officer Jennifer Mitkus assisted Miles Memorial Hospital Emergency Room with the involuntary commitment (blue paper) of a patient.
