Damariscotta Police Report

Damariscotta Police Department responded to 105 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activity:

Arrests/SummonsesFeb. 24, Charles Scavetta, 23 of Damariscotta was summonsed to court for operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker.

Feb. 27, a juvenile was summonsed for possession of a scheduled drug.

Feb. 28, Thomas J. Hourihan, 22 of Damariscotta was arrested for violation of conditions of release.

AccidentFeb. 25, Officer Aaron Beck responded to a two-vehicle accident on Main Street involving Clinton Kaler, 88 of Nobleboro and John Sprague, 53 of Thomaston. Sprague was traveling South on Main Street when Kaler pulled out of the Rite Aid parking lot in his 2005 Subaru. Sprague braked and slid into a guardrail in his 1998 Chevy. He then hit the rear passenger side of the Kaler’s vehicle.
