The Damariscotta Police Department would like to remind residents and business owners to make sure that their doors are locked in the evening or at the close of business.
Damariscotta Police would also like to remind people that due to warmer weather it is not safe to leave your pets in your car.
Damariscotta Police responded to 124 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activities from the previous week:
May 25, Joshua H. Oliver, 31 of Nobleboro was summonsed to court for sale and use of drug paraphernalia.
May 26, Richard E. Blanc, 33 of Walpole was summonsed to court for having no inspection sticker.
May 28, David A. Noonan, 44 of Union was summonsed for speeding, 15-19 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
May 28, Wayne E. Johnston, 48 of Jefferson was summonsed for speeding, 15-19 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
May 27, Sgt. Chad Andrews responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Biscay Road involving Peter J. McDermott, 39 of New York City, N.Y. who was driving a 2000 Toyota and rolled it over.
May 31, Officer Jennifer Mitkus responded to a one vehicle accident on Main Street involving Connor Shank, 17 of Edgecomb who was driving a 1997 Subaru Legacy.
May 24, Sgt. Chad Andrews responded to a residence for a domestic disturbance.

May 28, Officer Richard Alexander stopped a vehicle for speeding. The operator was having difficulty breathing and was thirty-eight weeks pregnant. CLC Ambulance was called to transport the woman to Miles Memorial Hospital. She was apparently rushed in for delivery of the child. Officer Alexander transported the woman’s two-year-old child who was riding in the vehicle with her to Miles Memorial Hospital.

May 28, Evan M. Benner, 20 of Waldoboro was arrested for operating in violation of license restriction and possession of drug paraphernalia.
