The Damariscotta Police Dept. reports the following activity:
Officer Jennifer Mitkus and Officer Aaron Beck responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the parking lot of a local business.
July 27, Officer Jennifer Mitkus assisted Knox County Sheriff’s Office with warning a subject to stop having contact with a person.
Officer Jennifer Mitkus took a complaint of suspicious activity from a local business owner.
Officer Jennifer Mitkus, along with officers from other agencies, responded to a report of an erratic operation; and, took two reports of lost property.
Officer Richard Alexander conducted a compliance check-in on a bailee; responded to Ledgewood Court on a report of suspicious activity; and, assisted a citizen with locating her son.
July 28, Officer Aaron Beck assisted Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office with attempting to locate a vehicle involved in pumping gas and not paying for it.
Officer Adam Lewis responded to a complaint of an erratic operation on the Biscay Road; and along with officers from other agencies, attempted to locate a vehicle that was operating erratically.
July 29, Officer Adam Lewis assisted a citizen who had locked himself out of his vehicle with getting in touch with a locksmith; and, assisted a citizen who had a problem with an ATM machine at a local bank.
Officer Aaron Beck responded to Main Street on a report of a criminal mischief; conducted a compliance check-in on a bailee; and, took a report of a theft.
July 30, Officer Scott Sutter responded to a report of a parking problem on the Back Meadow Road due to a lawn sale and advised people to park on one side of the road only; took possession of lost property; and, responded to a local business on a report of an alarm going off.
Officer Aaron Beck conducted a compliance check-in on a bailee; took a Trespassing complaint from a resident of Twin Cove Lane; assisted Miles Memorial Hospital with an escort; responded to the Hannaford parking lot to conduct a welfare check on a person; and, stopped a vehicle on a report that the operator had threatened to hurt herself. CLC Ambulance was called and transported the subject to Miles Memorial Hospital.
Officer Adam Lewis responded to a complaint of loud noise at Lake Pemaquid Campground; and, checked on a pedestrian who appeared to be intoxicated.
Officer Jennifer Mitkus took possession of a lost passport; took possession of a lost cell phone; and, responded to a report of an erratic operation.
Aug. 1, Officer Jennifer Mitkus took a complaint of speeding on the Bristol Road; took a report of a theft; took a report of lost property; took a report of suspicious activity from a business; responded to a complaint of Harassment on Parking Lot Lane; along with the Damariscotta Fire Dept. responded to Courtyard Street on a report of a burning wire smell; took a report of theft; and, took possession of found property.
Officer Aaron Beck conducted a compliance check-in on a bailee.
Officer Richard Alexander responded to U.S. Route 1 on a report of a traffic hazard; responded to Meadow Court on a report that a person believed someone was in their house.
Sgt. Chad Andrews took a report of a speeding vehicle on the Bristol Road; and conducted a compliance check-in on a bailee;
Aug. 2, Officer Jennifer Mitkus took a report of a disabled motor vehicle on Rt. 1; and, responded to a report of suspicious activity on School Street.
Aug. 2, Timothy B. Oliver, 22 of Ocean TWP, N.J., was summonsed for Operating a Motor Vehicle with no insurance.
July 29, Officer Aaron Beck responded to the Municipal Parking Lot for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving James A. Walker, 80, of Damariscotta. Walker was backing out of a parking space in his 2007 Toyota when he was struck by another vehicle that drove away.
Aug. 1, Officer Jennifer Mitkus responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Cross Street and Bristol Road involving Jacob T. Bonney, 18, of Bristol who was driving a 2001 Volkswagen and Donna Stano, 58, of Round Pond who was operating a 2009 Honda.
