The Damariscotta Police Dept. responded to 131 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activities from the previous week:
Arrests/Summonses
Sept. 28, Nathan T. Brewer, 22 of Nobleboro was arrested for Violation of Probation and summonsed to court for Aggravated Criminal Mischief, Reckless Conduct and Theft.
Sept. 28, Richard D. Levansaler, III, 27 of Nobleboro was summonsed to court for Aggravated Criminal Mischief, Reckless Conduct and Theft.
Sept. 29, Rebecca J. Meadows, 23 of Damariscotta was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault.
Accidents
Sept. 30 Chief Chad Andrews responded to Elm Street on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving one vehicle. Shelley LaCoste-Theroux, 42 of Boothbay was operating a 2005 Chevrolet when she hit the curb. She continued to drive the vehicle causing damage to the rim.
Sept. 30, Officer Aaron Beck responded to Bristol Road on a report of a one-vehicle accident involving Holly E. Morgan, 23 of Newcastle who was operating a 2000 Volkswagen. Morgan drove over a log and damaged the bottom of her vehicle.
Oct. 2, Officer Michael Elwell responded to Hannaford’s on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving Laura H. Houghton, 38 of Newcastle who was operating a 2004 Toyota and Ruth H. Brooks, 96 of New Harbor who was operating a 1993 Saab. Brooks was backing out of a parking space and struck Houghton’s parked vehicle.

Sept. 27, Officer Jennifer Mitkus took a report from a citizen of missing property.
Sept. 27, Officer Tyson Fait removed debris from Main Street that was causing a traffic hazard.
Sept. 28, Officer Jennifer Mitkus assisted an employee of a local business with a bad check that they had received.
Sept. 29, Officer Michael Elwell assisted a citizen with an animal complaint.
Sept. 29, Officer Aaron Beck spoke to citizens about a complaint that turned out to be a civil issue.
Sept. 30, Chief Chad Andrews, along with officers throughout the County, responded to an Attempt to Locate out of Knox County where an officer there had stopped a vehicle to attempt to do a welfare check on the driver. The driver took off hitting the Officer.
Sept. 30, Officer Aaron Beck removed debris from the roadway at the Intersection of Egypt Road and Back Meadow Road which was causing a traffic hazard.
Oct. 2, Officer Aaron Beck took a complaint of a missing fourteen year old from her parents. She was later located by her parents at a friend’s home.
Oct. 3, Officer Warren Waltz and Chief Chad Andrews responded to a local residence on a report of a Burglary in progress. It turned out to be the homeowner’s son who had forgotten his key.
Oct. 3, Officer Michael Elwell conducted a compliance check in on a bailee.
