Damariscotta Police Department responded to 125 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, compliance checks, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activity:
Dec. 31, Officer Jennifer Mitkus responded to Bristol Road on a report of a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident involving John R. Weinrich, 73 of Damariscotta who was operating a 1998 Subaru. Weinrich was traveling south on Bristol Road. He was slowing down to turn left onto Pine Ridge Road. Another vehicle was also traveling south when it came up behind Weinrich and attempted to pass him on the left as he was making his left hand turn. The unknown vehicle struck Weinrich and continued south on the Bristol Road without stopping.
The unknown vehicle was a light-colored, possibly white, older SUV; possibly a Ford Explorer. The vehicle should have damage on the rear right side or bumper and may have blue paint from the Weinrich vehicle.

Dec. 27, Jessica A. Alexander, 35 of Waldoboro was arrested for Violation of Probation and on an active warrant.
Dec. 27, Officer Aaron Beck conducted a search warrant at a residence in Waldoboro with the help of Waldoboro Detective Lance Mitchell.
Dec. 27, Officer Jennifer Mitkus assisted Somerset Sheriff’s Department with locating a subject.
Dec. 27, Officer Jennifer Mitkus, along with Sgt. Alan Shea from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, responded to Meadow Court on a report of a domestic disturbance.
Dec. 27, Officer Jennifer Mitkus assisted a local business owner with removing a sign which had half way blown down in the wind. The business owner was concerned that the sign would blow into the roadway and cause an accident.
Dec. 29, Chief Chad Andrews responded to Hodgdon Street on a report that shots had been fired.
