Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:
Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Rt. 1 on a report of an erratic operation. The operator was warned for their operation. Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Biscay Road on a report of suspicious activity.
Feb. 27, Officer Jason Warlick assisted the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office with a harassment complaint; conducted speed details on Biscay and Bristol roads; and responded to Main Street on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.
Officer Richard Alexander took a report of a possible missing person.
Feb. 28, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to a local doctor’s office to assist with a possible suicidal patient; responded to Old County Road, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; and assisted a citizen with a parking issue at Coastal Market Drive.
March 1, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Back Meadow Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; and responded to Main Street on a report of an erratic operation.
March 2, Officer Devin Polizzotti took a complaint from a local business of a theft; and responded to Main Street on a report of a suspicious vehicle.
March 3, Officer Jason Warlick took a report of a possible theft.
March 4, Officer Jason Warlick conducted a speed detail on Church Street; responded to Main Street on a report of a suspicious vehicle; conducted a welfare check on a person at the request of a family member; responded to a local business on a report of receiving a suspicious phone call; took a report of harassment; and responded to a local bank to conduct a 911 check.
Officer Jacob Grinnell responded to a local business on a report of a suspicious vehicle being in the area after the business had closed for the night.
March 5, Officer Jacob Grinnell responded, along with CLC Ambulance, to Blue Haven Lane on a report of a medical emergency; assisted Miles Memorial Hospital with getting a patient back to her residence.
Officer Jason Warlick took a report of a theft.
March 1, Jamie D. Young, 33, of South Bristol, was arrested on a Fugitive from Justice warrant.
Casey A. Hanna, 28, of New Harbor, was summonsed for failure to provide proof of insurance.
March 2, Joy W. Hamilton, 43 of Damariscotta was arrested for operating under the influence.
March 3, A juvenile was summonsed to court for assault.
March 1, Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to the Hannaford parking lot on a report of a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle. Frederick G. Rittner, 85, of New Harbor, was operating a 2004 Ford and was making a left hand turn. He failed to see pedestrian, Kristina Sprague, 22, of Nobleboro, who was walking back to her vehicle from the store and struck her. She was transported to Miles Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
March 4, Officer Jason Warlick responded to Coastal Market Drive on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving Gayle Webber, 57, of Damariscotta, who was operating a 2005 Hyundai and struck a cement barrier.
