Administrative Assistant Jodi Prior is now in the office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
The lobby of the police department is open 24 hours, seven days a week. If an officer does not answer once ringing the bell, a person can pick up the red phone outside to call the Lincoln County Communications Center to get in touch with an officer.
Damariscotta Police Department responded to 156 calls including motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activity:
Sept. 1, Andrew M. Poston, 21, of Portland, was summoned for speeding, 54 mph in a 40 mph zone.
Sept. 1, Matthew J. Kinney, 29, of Bremen, was summoned for operating an uninspected motor vehicle and arrested for operating after suspension, false identification and failure to give correct name and date of birth.
Sept. 2, Roy D. McGraw, 51, of Rumford, was arrested for violation of conditions of release.
Aug. 28, Officer Warlick assisted a citizen with a lockout; conducted speed details; responded to Hannaford’s on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; responded to Coastal Market Drive on a report of a dog left in a motor vehicle.
Aug. 29, Officer Warlick responded to Miles Memorial Hospital on a report of a vehicle being struck in the parking lot by an unknown subject; conducted a speed detail on Bristol Road; responded to Bristol Road on a report of a traffic hazard, and assisted a citizen with retrieving keys that were dropped into a storm drain.
Aug. 29, Officer Tyson Fait responded to Lake Pemaquid Campground on a report of a criminal threatening; responded to Ledgewood Court on a report of a medical emergency; responded to Hannaford on a report of a juvenile problem; served a protection from abuse order on a subject; responded to a local bank on a report of a burglar alarm; conducted speed details on Church Street and Bristol Road.
Aug. 30, Officer Polizzotti took possession of found property; conducted a pedestrian check on Lessner Road; and assisted Miles Memorial Hospital attempting to locate a subject.
Sept. 1, Officer Warlick responded to Hodgdon Street on a report of a medical emergency, conducted speed details; responded to Bristol Road on a report of a traffic hazard, and took a report of found property.
Sept. 2, Officer Polizzotti responded to Lake Pemaquid Campground on a report of a domestic disturbance and responded to a report of an erratic operation.
Sept. 2, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Church Street on a report of a traffic hazard; responded to Meadow Court to conduct a welfare check; and assisted a citizen trying to locate lost property.
