Damariscotta Police Department responded to 200 calls including traffic details, motor vehicle stops, arrests, calls for service, etc. during this one week period of time and reports the following activities.
Sept. 25, Cathryn A. Jones, 40 of Bremen was summoned for speeding, 54 mph in a 40 mph zone on Bristol Road.
Sept. 27, Dale Stone, 19 of Damariscotta was arrested for violation of conditions of release and possession of scheduled drugs.
Sept. 27, William J. White, 20 of Roslindale, Mass. was summoned for operating a motor vehicle without a license.
Sept. 28, Harold Wolf, 57 of Pasadena, Cal. was arrested for operating under the influence.
Sept. 29, John E. Sabine, 43 of Windham was summoned for operating an uninspected motor vehicle.
Sept. 25, Officer Jason Warlick responded to the Heater Road on a report of suspicious activity, found drug paraphernalia in that location and properly disposed of same.
Sept. 26, Officer Polizzotti stopped a vehicle on Biscay Road resulting in the operator’s father having to drive the vehicle home. Deputy Chief Andrews escorted a subject from Miles Memorial Hospital to their residence.
Sept. 27, Officer Warlick responded to Main Street on a report of a motor vehicle accident in which there was no damage and one party had already left the scene.
Sept. 27, Deputy Chief Andrews responded to the parking lot of Miles Memorial Hospital on a report of a dog in a vehicle.
Sept. 28, Officer Warlick responded to Coastal Market Drive on a report of a dog left in a motor vehicle. He advised the owner to roll the windows down.
Sept. 28, Officer Warlick responded to a report of an erratic operation. He was able to stop the vehicle and identified the operator as an elderly gentleman who said the sun was in his eyes.
Sept. 28, Officer Warlick conducted a welfare check on a subject.
Sept. 29, Chief Ron Young and Deputy Chief Andrews assisted Miles Memorial Hospital with a patient. Deputy Chief Andrews also assisted Great Salt Bay Community School with an evacuation drill.
Sept. 29, Officer Warlick assisted the Interim Animal Control Officer attempting to catch an animal.
